Fees & Payment

Here are Richard English Tutor's professional fees (applicable to new students and clients), and payment methods, for first-class English language tuition and proofreading. All charges are extremely competitive and reasonable.

Prices are in British Pounds Sterling (outside the UK you can pay in your local currency). All services are subject to a Minimum Fee of £20.

Personal individual - online	£28 per hour
Personal individual - face-to-face	£32 per hour

Fees include all the materials you will need in lessons, preparation of your lessons, and initial and ongoing assessment of your needs, preferences, and progress.

Proofreading Fees


Email Service
Standard	£12 (or £14 or £16) per 1000 words*
Within 48 hrs	£14 (or £16 or £20) per 1000 words*
Within 24 hrs	£16 (or £20 or £24) per 1000 words*
Face-to-Face Service	£32 per hour

*How are the Email Service charges calculated?

The cost of proofreading your document depends upon the time it takes to proofread it. How much you pay depends upon the length of your document and the standard of your English, ie the amount of correction and editing that is required, and therefore how much time is taken. The standard of English in clients' documents varies greatly. If you have only occasional errors, you will pay only the lowest rate but if your English needs more correction and will therefore take longer to correct per 1000 words, your quote (per 1000 words) may be at a higher rate.

(2) You will receive a provisional booking (or a quote) and instructions on how to pay - bank, sort code, and account number. After making payment, you will receive confirmation of receipt and of your booking. (Your work will then be proofread and returned to you by the agreed time and date.)
